Election to KY Board 2026

Applications for the KY Board 2026 are now open!
The KY Board holds the highest executive power at KY. They represent the voice and face of our members, uphold our strategy and traditions, and ensure that all KY members enjoy the best student experience possible.
The KY Board is a full-time (with flexible hours), paid position of responsibility from 1.1.2026–31.12.2026. However, onboarding and potential interviews for Committees will already take place at the end of November 2025. Excellent communication skills in English are required for all positions, and applications must be submitted in English at a minimum. The Former of the Board and all KY Board Members will be chosen by the KY Representative Council.
KY's minutes and other administrative documents are in Finnish, and the official language of the foundation is Finnish. Therefore, serving as the chairperson requires fluency in both written and spoken Finnish.
For 2026, the monthly compensation for the Chair of the Board is 1400€.

11.11.2025 at 15:00 Representative Council speed dating session for candidates applying for the Former of the Board.
12.11.2025 at 17:00 Panel for candidates applying for the Former of the Board. Straight after the panel, the Former of the Board is chosen in the KY Representative Council meeting.
13.11.2025 at 23:59 Deadline to apply for the Board Member position at KY Association.
17.11.2025 at 17:00 Panel for KY Association Board Member applicants.
24.11.2025 at 17:00 KY Representative Council convenes and elects the Board for KY Association for the year 2026 on the basis of the Board Former’s proposal.

All applicants for the Former of the Board position are expected to attend the speed dating session organized by the Representative Council on Tuesday 11.11.2025 at 15:00 in Espilä (Konemiehentie 4, Otaniemi).
Applicants for the Former of the Board position have the option to express their interest until the start of the panel discussion for all applicants. However, we kindly request that applicants meet the suggested deadline, as after the application period has ended, you will receive materials in your inbox to help you prepare for the panel discussion, which will be held on Wednesday 12.11.2025 from 17:00 onwards. Immediately following the panel, the Former of the Board will be elected at the Representative Council meeting.
