Culture Producer

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is looking for a Culture Producer for 25.8.2025–4.9.2026

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is a student-centered non-profit organization that provides its members with services and benefits, student advocacy, and memorable experiences. KY has approximately 5,100 members who study at the Aalto University School of Business.

We are looking for a Culture Producer to join us 25.8.2025–4.9.2026. After this period, you have the possibility of continuing to work with us.

The responsibilities of the Culture Producer include:

• Planning, executing, and overseeing KY’s cultural activities (for example booking event venues and coordinating with relevant stakeholders)
• Being in charge of determined budget entities
• Operating as a contact person for KY’s subcommittees and other culture sector volunteers
• Recruiting and training volunteers
• Acting as the vice chair and secretary of the Cultural Committee (KUVA) including meetings, planning events, budgeting and recruiting
• Being in charge of determined budget entities

We require from the applicant:

• Proficient skills in English, Finnish skills of any level are seen as an advantage
• Experience from KY’s student life and interest towards its culture, further knowledge of KY’s culture is seen as an advantage
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team but also independently
• Initiative, and precise and organized working methods
• Project management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• B-class driver’s licence
• Positive attitude, problem solving skills, and resilience

The position of the Culture Producer is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The general office hours are between 10-16, but flexible starting and ending times are possible and sometimes required. The work is suitable for combining with studies. The salary is 1600 euros per month. KY offers its employees lunch benefit, sport and culture benefit, 5 days of study permit per study semester, comprehensive occupational health care, and more.

You may use either Finnish or English. The applications are reviewed and scored as anonymised, by a group of 3-4 KY Office members. Invitations to interviews are sent out within two weeks after the application period ends. Interviews may include preliminary tasks to help us assess applicants’ skill levels. The final recruitment decision will be made by latest on Friday 9.5.2025.
