The highest decision-making power at KY is held by the Representative Council, which decides what KY does and looks like now and in the future. The meeting minutes can be found on the KY's Administration page.
The council meets approximately once per month on average during semesters. In between the meetings, members can participate in various working groups that direct the activities of KY. The Representative Council elects the Chair and Vice Chair for one-year terms at a time. The Chair of the Representative Council does not have to be a member of the council and does not have the right to vote in council meetings.
The council consists of 21 members and 102 deputy members. The KY Representative Council elections are organized in the fall of each odd-numbered year. The candidates are ranked in order of the number of votes each of them received. The terms of each Representative Council start in December of each odd-numbered year and ends in December two years later, after the next RepCo has been elected.
If a person is the chair or vice chair of the Representative council, a member of the Executive Board of KY, a KY Employee, or a KY Foundation Board member, they are incapable of working on the Representative Council. These individuals are marked with a star (*) on the list below.
