Kylteri – the magazine and podcast of Aalto University Business Students – is searching for its next Editor-in-Chief! Are you full of ideas, excited to bring out the best in others, and passionate about student culture and journalism? This could be the perfect role for you.

What Does the Editor-in-Chief Do?
As the Editor-in-Chief, you’ll manage the production of a student magazine and podcast, shaping Kylteri's voice and setting the direction for each issue. You’ll work closely with the Art Director, writers, and the entire editorial team to create content that resonates with students. From setting the editorial style to giving content approval, you’ll make sure every article and podcast episode feels authentic and engaging.

For 26 years, Kylteri has provided news and insights on student life and more. We cover everything from student affairs and social trends to wider coverage on Finland and technology. Published by KY, Kylteri is an independent and unique voice in our community. You can read more on our website kylteri.fi, get physical copies of the magazine from our mailbox in the A Bloc shopping centre, and listen to our podcast Kylteri Pods on Spotify.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

• Creative, with ideas for Kylteri's future
• Strong language skills in either Finnish or English, intermediate language skills in the other
• A supportive leader who can motivate and guide others
• Comfortable with tight schedules
• Familiar with student culture and open to feedback

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the writing, photography, and illustration teams to create content
• Reviewing and approving final articles
• Generating story ideas and refining others’ concepts
• Publishing two issues of the Kylteri magazine per year
• Releasing podcast episodes on Spotify
• Keeping content up to date on kylteri.fi 
• Overseeing social media content on our Instagram account
• Delegating responsibilities to the editorial team
