Hello! I am Emmi Laakso, a second-year ISM student. I am running for KY representative council because I want to affect the important issues in KY. I want KY to be a place where everyone feels included, supported, and valued, like how my own year as a KY-Sub board member in 2025 has treated me. I believe that my year as a KY-Sub trip responsible and also harassment contact person has given me a good insight of KY's current topics and an understanding of the values and operating methods. Through these roles, I’ve seen what makes events successful, and what both international and local students appreciate and on the other side wish to improve in KY. I believe that these experiences have prepared me well to represent not only local but also exchange students effectively and contribute to making KY an even more functional and welcoming community for everyone.
