Art Director

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is looking for an Art Director for 5.8.2024–5.9.2025

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is a non-profit organization that provides its members with services and benefits, student advocacy, and memorable experiences. KY has approximately 4,900 members who study at the Aalto University School of Business.

We are looking for an Art Director to join us 5.8.2024–5.9.2025. After this period, you have the possibility of continuing to work with us.

The responsibilities of the Art Director include:

• Producing graphic materials for web and print
• Being in charge of the graphic design and layout of KY’s publications and Kylteri magazine
• Carrying out and developing KY’s brand
• Working together and supporting KY’s volunteers and office members in graphic design-related matters
• Bringing personal vision and fresh ideas to our community’s communications

We require from the applicant:

• Fluent English skills, Finnish skills are seen as an advantage
• Willingness to master the use of relevant software (primarily Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Skills and experience with visual design and laying out publications
• Time management skills
• Initiative and flexibility
• Team player attitude
• Interest in student activities

Web design, photography, and video production skills are seen as an advantage.

KY as a workplace is happy, motivating, and fun. We work closely together with volunteers and provide flexibility and freedom with regards to organizing one’s work. KY’s Executive Director is the foreperson of all KY employees.

The post of Art Director is 25 hours per week with flexible starting and ending times. The work is suitable for combining with studies. The salary is 1446 euros per month. The work can also be done with a commission contract when the average weekly hours are 25 hours per week. In any case, we hope that the future AD can and will participate in our office activities as part of the work community.
