Association Coordinator

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is looking for an Association Coordinator for 25.8.2025–4.9.2026

Aalto University Business Students (KY) is a student-centered non-profit organization that provides its members with services and benefits, student advocacy, and memorable experiences. KY has approximately 5,100 members who study at the Aalto University School of Business. 

We are looking for an Association Coordinator to join us 25.8.2025–4.9.2026. After this period, you have the possibility of continuing to work with us.

The responsibilities of the Association Coordinator include:

  • Supporting, helping, and thanking associations and volunteers operating under KY together with the board member responsible for associations
  • Maintaining and developing KY’s association register and activity point register
  • Communication regarding association activities
  • Training KY’s volunteers
  • Supporting new associations, and planning and developing volunteer and association activities
  • Acting as the vice chair and secretary of the Sports and Wellbeing Committee (LIHY), which includes meetings, event planning, budgeting, and recruiting
  • Taking part in the handing out and handling of applications for KY Foundation subsidies
  • Taking part in the planning process for KY acknowledgments
  • Managing assigned budget entities
  • Member service as one of KY’s service advisors

We require from the applicant:

  • Proficient English skills, Finnish skills of any level are seen as an advantage
  • Interest in student life and association operations
  • Great service attitude, interpersonal and communication skills, and member-oriented approach
  • Time and project management skills
  • Initiative, organized working methods, and ability to work as a part of a team but also independently

Experience from KY or other associations is seen as an advantage.

KY is a motivating, dynamic, fun and unique workplace. KY’s employees work closely together with the executive board of KY, volunteers, members and other stakeholder groups. We provide flexibility and freedom in regards to organizing one’s work. KY’s Executive Director is the foreperson of all KY employees.

The position of the Association Coordinator is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The general office hours are between 10-16, but flexible starting and ending times are possible and sometimes required. The work is suitable for combining with studies. The salary is 1600 euros per month. KY offers its employees lunch benefit, sport and culture benefit, 5 days of study permit per study semester, comprehensive occupational health care, and more.

You may use either Finnish or English. Once submitted, the applications are reviewed and scored as anonymised, by a group of 3-4 KY Office members. Invitations to interviews are sent out within two weeks after the application period ends. Interviews may include preliminary tasks to help us assess applicants’ skill levels. The final recruitment decision will be made by latest on Friday 9.5.2025.
