Become a KY Tutor for Fall 2026!
Are you enthusiastic about helping new students settle into Aalto BIZ? We’re now looking for tutors to support the new bachelor’s, exchange, and master’s students as they embark on their studies and student life! 🧡💚 As a tutor, you’ll be the first point of contact for new students, guiding them through orientation, answering their questions, and ensuring they feel welcome in our community. Tutoring is both a rewarding and fun experience — you’ll make new connections and will get to attend all of the orientation events! Tutors can also get 2 study credits and financial compensation as a reward for tutoring. More info and important dates can be found in the application form below.

After the application period closes, the KY Tutor Committee will anonymously review all applications. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview, and we’ll contact you via email regarding the next steps.
About the Tutor Roles
💚 Master’s Tutors
Even though master’s students have studied elsewhere before, they still need help integrating into Aalto BIZ, both academically and socially. As a master’s tutor, you’ll guide them through orientation, introduce them to student life here, and help international students settle into Finland. Tutor groups are larger and often divided by study programs. Master’s tutoring requires less time, with many opportunities to make new friends and network within your own study program. Master's tutors are invited to all of the same events as bachelor's tutors.
💚 Exchange Tutors
Every semester, over 100 exchange students arrive at Aalto BIZ, and as an exchange tutor, you’ll be their go-to person for settling in. You’ll meet them upon arrival, help them with practical matters, and introduce them to student life in Finland. Exchange tutoring is an eventful and dynamic experience, offering a unique chance to see Finland through the eyes of an exchange student.
💚 Bachelor’s, Economics, and IB Tutors
Bachelor’s tutors are the first point of contact for new mursus, helping them adjust to student life and studies at Aalto BIZ. Some tutors will guide open uni mursus, who transition to Aalto after completing their first-year studies at open university — prior knowledge of open university studies for this is a plus! Bachelor's tutors for Economics and IB help new economics and international business students, including international students, integrate into the program and community and tutor in English.
