Working as an Administrative Coordinator at KY means that no two days are ever the same. The job involves a wide variety of tasks, and you never know what the day will bring. As an Administrative Coordinator I got to learn how day-to-day operations are conducted by at an organization such as KY and influence them.

The tasks of an Administrative Coordinator includes supervising and developing KY premises (and of course the van), keeping track of the checklists, communicating with stakeholders, organizing meetings, making necessary purchases and much more. Acting as a vice-chair of Tutor Committee is also important part of the role.

KY Office is such a unique environment to work. You get to work with amazing people who are always ready to help you out when you’re in need.
Before I applied, I had three years of volunteer experience in KY and I thought I knew almost everything about KY, but that was definitely not the case. During my employment I got to learn so much more about KY.
I would strongly recommend this role to someone who is:

  • self-starter
  • not afraid to make decisions or physical work
  • KY-hearted and want to learn more about our beloved student organization
  • trying to find a job along studies

If you have any questions about the job or anything else, please feel free to contact me. :)

Working as KY’s IT Coordinator, I’m responsible for all the IT things at KY. These “things” range from showtech and networks at KY’s premises to cloud services like the resource calendar and Google Workspace. But that's not all, as I’m also a part of the communications sector, where we plan and implement KY’s communications and in addition, a part of the academic affairs sector, where I’m the vice chair of the Academic Affairs committee (KOVA).

Having a broad range of responsibilities means that every workday brings something different, and learning new things is a daily joy. This may be one of the most motivating parts as  I don’t have to stick to the same chores from week to week.

Before starting at the KY office, I had been an active volunteer at KY and AYY and even though this is a “real” job, it does not feel like one. It feels more like a new volunteer position with better opportunities and perks. I still haven't had a day when I wouldn’t want to go to work, which in my opinion is a rare treat.

If you're now thinking that there's no way you can possibly meet all the requirements for this position due to its many responsibilities, I have to say that you are mistaken. Of course, it helps, especially at the beginning, to have some knowledge of the systems. However, in my opinion, the most important skill is the willingness to learn and use resources like Google and ChatGPT.

I’m more than willing to have a chat or answer any questions regarding this position, so don’t hesitate to ask! You can find my Telegram below!
