Election to KY Board 2027

The KY Board holds the highest executive power at KY. They represent the voice and face of our members, uphold our strategy and traditions, and ensure that all KY members enjoy the best student experience possible.
The KY Board is a full-time (with flexible hours), paid position of responsibility from 1.1.2027-31.12.2027. However, onboarding and potential interviews for Committees will already take place at the end of November 2026. Excellent communication skills in English are required for all positions, and applications must be submitted in English at a minimum. The Former of the Board and all KY Board Members will be chosen by the KY Representative Council.
KY's minutes and other administrative documents are in Finnish, and the official language of the foundation is Finnish. Therefore, serving as the chairperson requires fluency in both written and spoken Finnish. However, Finnish is not required for members of the KY Executive Board.
For 2027, the monthly compensation for Vice Chair was 1090€, and for Board members 1035€.

26.10.2026 at 17:00 Panel for candidates applying for the Former of the Board. Straight after the panel, the Former of the Board is chosen in the KY Representative Council meeting.
28.10.2026 at 23:59 Deadline to apply for the Board Member position at KY Association.
4.11.2026 at 17:00 Panel for KY Association Board Member applicants.
11.11.2026 at 17:00 KY Representative Council convenes and elects the Board for KY Association for the year 2027 on the basis of the Board Former’s proposal.

All materials must be in English and they will be sent to the KY Representative Council. Introductions and pictures will be published on this page. Unlike for the Former of the Board applicants, applications will not be published, only sent to the KY Representative Council.
Please include your current year of study and a list of your preferred areas of responsibility in your application. The allocation of responsibilities varies from year to year, and the Board can create and define responsibilities as they see fit.

All applicants have the option to express their interest until the start of the panel discussion for all applicants. However, we kindly request that applicants meet the suggested deadline.
After the application period has ended, you will receive materials in your inbox to help you prepare for the panel discussion, which will be held on Wednesday 4.11.2026 from 17:00 onwards at Ekonominaukio 1 U006. Additionally, the Former of the Board will interview all applicants.
The KY Board for 2027 will be selected based on the Former of the Board's proposal and the approval of the Representative Council on Wednesday 11.11.2026 at 17:00.
