KY's Wappu Parade

Wappu is almost here and that means it’s time for KY’s legendary Wappu Parade! Let’s fill the streets with dollar green and come together to celebrate. 🥳 After Wapputerde and Premanta, on Wappu Eve (April 30th), we head from Otaniemi to Helsinki and join one of KY’s most beloved traditions. The Wappu Parade starts at 16:00 at Eteläinen Rautatienkatu, from where we move together through the city, spreading the KY spirit. 💚🧡 Leading the way is the Parade Truck, with KY’s Cultural Committee KUVA keeping up the spirit with the best KY Wappu songs as green and orange smoke fills the air. The parade will lead us to Kauppatori, where we will welcome Wappu together with the capping of Manta.🍾 So grab your friends and join one of the most unforgettable moments in every KY student’s life. We will make sure you arrive at Manta in the most iconic way possible. This is something you don’t want to miss! 🎈✨ We know the Wappu spirit will be high, but please remember: 🎉 Purchase your HSL ticket in advance if you’re travelling by metro. 🎉 Arrive early so we can stay on schedule. 🎉 Follow traffic rules and general guidelines during the parade.
