In 2026, KY continues to thrive as a community of over 5,000 members. Together, we organize a wide range of events, ranging from glamorous career evenings to traditional kuntis parties, club nights, and sitz parties. For the current year, our premises are Espilä, Saha, and BMK. However, we are eagerly awaiting the completion of the new KY Building at Metallimiehenkuja 10, set to open in 2027. You can read more info about the building from our past newsletters and we will keep you, as well as the rest of our community, updated on the process through the year.
At this point in the year, the new Board is still settling into everyday life in Espilä. We have been actively nurturing existing relationships and building new ones with our stakeholders, both within and outside of Otaniemi. We are also thrilled to launch our new Supporting Membership this year and look forward to welcoming our first supporting members. You can join as a Supporting Member through our website.
This is a year of significant change for KY, Otaniemi and Aalto University.
Our key focus points for the year include for example:
• The progress of the new KY Building (MMK10)
• Probba’s move to Otaniemi
