Awaiting for KY Wappu
At this point in the year, our board has already celebrated KY's 115th anniversary at the glamorous Annual Ball. We have also maintained and improved relationships both inside and outside Otaniemi through several events and meetings with our stakeholders. Even though the year has brought its difficulties, we continue to thrive and work towards our common goals.
As always, Wappu is drawing closer, and our board is eagerly awaiting it. Despite some small adjustments, we are still maintaining our traditional events, especially during Wappu eve, such as WappuTerde and Kuntis. WappuTerde has become an event known throughout Otaniemi, attracting every year more participants from all parts of Otaniemi during the day of Wappu Eve.

On the First of May, we will also have our traditional KY stand at Ullis in its usual spot. We hope that as many of you as possible will come say hello to our board and to each other to exchange stories and wisdom.
The year is far from over, and neither are we. There are still many things planned for the rest of the year, and we are working hard to make sure KY stays relevant for all our members. If you wish to hear from us more frequently, we recommend applying to become a supporting member. We have already welcomed our first supporting members and would gladly welcome more.
We hope to see you during Wappu!
Warm regards, KY Board 2026
